The residentialconstruction fi lls in the gap in the block ofexisting buildings on a place affected bythe construction of the tunnel, which wasperformed by means of an open excavation.The sites with the altitude difference of 15 mare largely formed by the tunnel ceiling, whichdoesn’t offer any possibility to handle the sitefreely. With regard to the limited options of thebuilding foundation, the construction of oneobject was selected, which is the only wayhow to realize building in the original blockscheme. The dominant feature of the object’slook is the street corner. The space of the fi rstunderground level is left free and it is used forthe transition of the orthogonal ferroconcretestructure grid of above-ground parts onstilts respecting the body of the tunnel. Thecrown moulding of the house correspondsto two altitude levels of streets, balances byan oblique attic. Big mass is separated bythree loggia notches, minute scale of windowopenings, balconies, alcoves, and a surfaceof Holland-type gauged brickwork. The innercourt is segmented rationally by windowopenings, balconies, and fl at loggias.
